ZOLLO—LOHRY is a custom kitchen design studio based in Brooklyn, New York. We design and manufacture custom kitchens for architects, builders, developers and homeowners. Every year we also design-build a small number full scale, custom bespoke kitchen projects for private clients. We operate in both commercial and residential markets.
Our system of model units is engineered to allow for customization, adapting to site constraints, design intent and unique project requirements. Each kitchen model is based on various technical standards, but also carefully tailored to the specific goals of the project and the conditions of the space.
We believe kitchens should be both beautiful and highly functional. As the center of daily life in the home, the kitchen warrants more attention and investment. We work closely with every client to deliver a kitchen that reflects these values.

ABOUT US
MODEL KITCHENS
Our kitchens are developed from a series of carefully considered model types, each defined by a distinct set of technical and aesthetic principles. These models establish the framework for proportion, construction, and detailing, providing a clear foundation from which each kitchen can evolve.
Within these frameworks, every project is adapted to the needs of the home and its owners. This approach allows for a high degree of individuality while maintaining the discipline of a well-resolved system. Materials, finishes, and spatial conditions are carefully considered so that each kitchen feels both tailored and cohesive. The result is a kitchen that feels personal and unique, yet grounded in a coherent approach to craft, proportion, and construction.
#1. Modern Craft
Rooted in the restrained aesthetic Northern European design, this kitchen model features slab fronts, frameless construction, and integrated pulls. Cabinets can be produced in any domestic wood species, with veneer options including rift, plain, or quarter-sawn grain and either bookmatched or random layups. Blum soft-close hardware ensures precision performance, while finishes are completed in natural or colored satin oils to highlight the material character of the wood.
#2: American Heritage
Inspired by traditional Shaker craftsmanship, these kitchens emphasize simplicity, proportion, and durable joinery. Hard rock maple shaker doors are paired with a solid maple face-frame cabinet construction and pre-finished interiors, offering a timeless structure suited to painted or natural wood finishes. Brass bin pulls, knobs, or handles and visible butt hinges combine with Blum soft-close drawer slides to balance classic detailing with modern functionality.
#3: Ortho
This is our cabinet system typically used as the basis for apartments and condo projects. It is organized around a clear grid of drawers and shelving, reduced to essential proportions that bring order and efficiency to compact spaces. Material selections are prioritized for durability and ease of maintenance, with thoughtful integrations that support everyday use. The system is designed to accommodate a wide range of needs, offering flexibility in heights, configurations, and long-term performance.
#X: Bespoke
This line is fully bespoke, developed around the specific design vision of each client rather than a predefined style or system. Cabinet fronts, materials, hardware, wood species, grain orientation, and construction methods are selected project-by-project, allowing complete flexibility in both aesthetic expression and technical resolution. The result is a highly tailored kitchen where every detail—from joinery and finishes to hardware and proportions—is designed and fabricated to suit the unique character of the space.
